You will never over water your lawn. The irrigation system is controlled by a master unit that will know when to water your lawn. If it should rain, the controller will automatically know not to water the lawn. If you need to have the irrigation system shut off to allow for a delivery or to have the lawn cut, you may override your program by calling your home, and telling the controller to do so.
